Currently, the Department of Russian Philology prepares personnel for the following five educational programs:

       Educational program: 5B020500 "Philology: Russian language". The graduate receives an academic degree-bachelor of Humanities in the specialty 5B020500 - "Philology". The objects of professional activity of graduates are secondary (including high schools, lyceums) and secondary professional (colleges) educational institutions; research organizations; Newspapers, magazines, radio and television; publishing houses; management bodies; advertising agencies.

       Educational program: 5B011800-Russian language and literature. The graduate receives an academic degree-bachelor of education in the specialty 5B011800-Russian language and literature. The objects of professional activity of graduates are-secondary schools and secondary special educational institutions, lyceums, gymnasiums, vocational colleges, work in the media (Newspapers, radio, television).

        Educational program: 5B012200-Russian language and literature in schools with non-Russian language of instruction. The graduate receives an academic degree-bachelor of education in the specialty 5B012200-Russian language and literature in schools with non-Russian language of instruction. The objects of professional activity of graduates are-secondary schools and secondary special educational institutions, lyceums, gymnasiums, vocational colleges, work in the media (Newspapers, radio, television).
         Educational program: 6M011800 "Russian language and literature". Graduates of the master's degree in the specialty 6M011800-Russian language and literature can perform the following professional activities: in profile training – pedagogical, cultural and educational, managerial, industrial and technological, editorial and publishing; in scientific and pedagogical training-scientific and pedagogical, scientific and consulting, research, organizational and management, cultural and organizational. Persons who have mastered the educational programs of master's degree and defended a master's thesis are awarded an academic degree-master of pedagogical Sciences.
        Educational program: 6m020500 "Philology". Graduates of the master's degree in the specialty 6M020500 "Philology" can perform the following professional activities: 1) in profile training: organizational and pedagogical; administrative and managerial; cultural and organizational. 2) With scientific and pedagogical training: research and pedagogy; research; educational-pedagogical, organizational-pedagogical. Persons who have mastered the educational programs of master's degree and defended a master's thesis are awarded an academic degree-master of arts.
         Employers, who are members of the Committee on RUE and CED of faculties, take part in determining additional educational programs of elective disciplines. The tasks of the committees, in particular, include: questionnaires and surveys of employers; questionnaires and surveys of students; definition and development of additional educational programs within the specialty; examination of working curricula of elective subjects, etc.
         When selecting employers to participate in the committees, basic education, position, and representativeness are taken into account. Committee members include heads of organizations, departments, school principals, etc..
          The Department conducted a survey of employers, heads of practice bases, students working graduates in order to determine the content of additional educational programs. Working curricula, catalogues of elective subjects, additional curricula are reviewed annually. In particular, one of the features of OP 5B020500 - "Philology: Russian language" is the presence of additional educational program "Journalism". This is due to the fact that there is a shortage of personnel in this area and school graduates are interested in the profession of journalist. The educational program contains the following elective disciplines:" Introduction to journalism"," Language and style of mass communication"," History of Kazakhstan journalism","Fundamentals of editing". Elective disciplines occupy the main place in the preparation of students for additional OP "Journalism", as along with the improvement of professional competence, it is necessary to form and special competence.
          For example, the analysis of the real positioning of OP 5B020500 - "Philology: Russian language" is held annually with first-year students in order to identify the individual learning path of students. The results of the analysis are used in the formation of CED.
          Formation of OP and its development is discussed by the faculty of the Department, faculty and University. Employers, school principals, teachers, University teachers, students can make their additions and comments, which are taken into account in the future. For example, to find out the opinion of students of 4 and 1 courses about the elective disciplines of the Department conducted a survey. Meetings with employers are constantly held.
          For example, on January 21, 2014 in wksu.M. utemisova together with employers held a round table on the theme: "Professional competence of graduates of the faculty of Philology." The meeting discussed the need to identify problems in employment and adaptation of graduates of institutions in the labor market, evaluated the preparedness of modern graduates of wksu.M. Utemisova. The role of the consumer in the training of specialists was also discussed (the order for competence, as a basis for practical training, participation in the development of curricula and work programs of disciplines). The meeting was addressed by Deputy head of the regional Department of education R. Hamza, Director of educational center "Bolashak" amanbaeva Z. Employers took an active part in the discussion of elective courses. Such meetings have become traditional.


December 4, 2015 in the conference hall wksu held a round table on the theme:"the Formation of a positive image of the teacher in the modern model of education." November 16, 2016 was held a round table on "Pedagogical innovations in modern school: problems and solutions". All events were attended by employers, representatives of schools, University teachers, school teachers and students. The meeting ended with a survey of employers.
