On November 17, 2018, in Almaty, within the framework of the International Cultural Festival “Flowers of Russia”, a round table was held for specialists on the topic “The modern approach in teaching Russian as a foreign language in Russia and abroad”.

It was about a questions what are the traditions in teaching Russian as a foreign language in the largest universities of the Russian Federation, what difficulties do teachers of Russian as a foreign language face in working with various groups of foreigners, what is the approach to training specialists in the field of Russian as a foreign language.

The participants of the round table were greeted by Viktor Mikhailovich Minkov, Director of the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution of Culture "State Drama Theater " Shelter of comedian", artistic headmaster of NEVA-ART, artistic director of international cultural projects from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The head of the department of Russian philology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor Karlyga Taskalievna Utegenova took part in the round table. She told about the modern approach to the system of training teachers of the Russian language in the largest universities of Kazakhstan.

Olga Vasikyevna Baikova, moderator of the round table, a teacher of the highest category, head of educational and developmental programs of NEVA-ART (St. Petersburg), introduced a variety of forms, methods and means in modern language education.

Marina Vladimirovna Pimenova, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Rector of the St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Languages (St. Petersburg, Russia), Kristina Permyakova, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, Linguistics and Translation of the West Ural Institute of Economics and Law, Associate Professor of the Prikamsky Social Institute, Associate Professor of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (Perm, Russia), Svetlana Beloschenko, head of the urban teaching and methodical association of teachers of additional education of children of state educational institutions in the direction of "artistic word", associate professor of the department of solo singing at the Institute of Music, Theater and Choreography of the Russian State Pedagogical University.
